About JPmate N3

JPmate N3 is a mobile app that applies the FSRS algorithm and forgetting-curve research to JLPT N3 study. This page explains why the app was created and who operates it.

Why JPmate N3 was created

According to Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve, people forget a large share of what they learn within a day. As the exam gets closer, the real question for learners is not "how many times did I see it?" but "could I review it right before forgetting?"

JPmate N3 solves this with the cognitive-science-based FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduling) algorithm. It estimates your memory pattern for each question and automatically schedules the best review timing. Instead of repeating the same questions blindly, it is designed to bring each question back only when you need it. For more detailed study strategy, continue with the JLPT study method guide.

Who makes it

JPmate N3 is designed and developed by DAYLAB. DAYLAB is a solo development studio that builds mobile and web products around learning and productivity. DAYLAB directly handles JPmate N3's question design, FSRS scheduling logic, UI, and operations.
